Delicious food and desserts in a large space with plenty of seating and live music on the weekends. Customer service is fast, efficient, and friendly. Food is really delicious and seems freshly made. There is a big selection of desserts-cakes, pies, cookies, and more-available as well. The store offers clothes, gifts, toys, and a million other things for sale.
We like to go to the Floyd Country Store on Sunday afternoons to eat lunch and listen to the live jam. Our food is always fresh and tasty, the service is quick and friendly, and the portions are generous. The music is the cherry on top. The retail area is nice, too, with all manner of kitchen goods, personal products, ceramic ware, music, books, and the odd knick knack. This is one of our favorite places to spend an afternoon "unplugged" from our normal daily life.
The Floyd Country store, particularly during their Friday night jamborees, is a Southwest Virginia experience to be had by all. A bluegrass band will play and people of all ages get up to dance on the dance floor. Many people flat-foot dance, but also many others who do not know how to flat foot get up and dance how they please without judgement. The store itself is a flashback to classic country stores.
Floyd Country Store is really neat and a must see if you go anywhere near Floyd, Virginia. I would highly recommend it. They have a lot of really good food there and also they have a lot of music venues on the weekend.
This place is awesome. Good wholesome family friendly environment. We've been several times and have a great time every time we go. Do plan on going early though if you want a seat. The place fills up quickly and oftentimes it's standing room only but still worth $5 entrance fee.
